Guest Registry

DSC 0276 300x200 - Guest Registry (Print)A wedding guest book no longer needs to be pen and bound paper. The form and shape of the traditional guest book has morphed to match changing wedding trends and tastes. The purpose of a guest registry is to capture the names and well wishes of those special individuals who actually attended your wedding.

DSC 0257 300x200 - Guest Registry (Print)This unique and creative guest registry makes for a beautiful keepsake for the house afterwards.

Have guests complete a block on the canvas in a color contrasting the shade of the block. Leave instructs for guests to write a message and you’ll have a wonderful keepsake for years to come. You could also provide direction like asking guests to share some words of wisdom, and you’ll get more interesting responses.

The calligraphy used is Kufic, which is the oldest calligraphic form of the various Arabic scripts and consists of a modified form of the old Nabataean script. Kufic developed around the end of the 7th century in Kufa, Iraq, from which it takes its name, and other centres.

DSC 0378 300x200 - Guest Registry (Print)The calligraphy on the top : The Basmala (Arabic: بسملة‎ basmalah), also known by its incipit Bismillāh (Arabic: بسم الله‎, “In the name of God”)[1], is the name of the Islamic phrase bi-smi llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful”.

The calligraphy at the bottom : Kalimah Tayyibah kalimat aṭ-ṭaiyibah (Word of Purity) (Paak) لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا الله مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ الله‎
‘lā ilāha illā -llāh, muḥammadur rasūlu -llāh – There is no god but Allah, [and] Muhammad is the messenger of Allah

DSC 0442 300x187 - Guest Registry (Print)The calligraphy in each corner : Allah (Arabic: الله‎, translit. Allāh, IPA: [ɑɫˈɫɑː(h)] (About this sound listen)) is the Arabic word for God in Abrahamic religions. In the English language, the word generally refers to God in Islam. The word is thought to be derived by contraction from al-ilāh, which means “the god”, and is related to El and Elah, the Hebrew and Aramaic words for God.
